Solution 1: Restore contacts from Google

You’re lucky if you have backed up your contacts through Google sync or made an export file to your SD card. If this is the case, then it is easy to restore contacts. Here’s how…

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Tap Google (or Samsung, whichever applies).
  4. Tap your email address.
  5. Now tap Sync Contacts to check the box. If it’s already checked, tap Sync Now.

Samsung Galay Note will start the syncing and all your backed up contacts will start appearing on your phone right after the sync is complete.

Solution 2: Restore contacts from SD card

  1. Make sure your SD Card is inserted.
  2. Go to the Home screen and tap Contacts.
  3. Tap the Contacts tab.
  4. Tap the Menu key.
  5. Tap Import / Export.
  6. Tap Import from SD Card.
  7. Choose the account where you want to save your contacts.
  8. If you only have one contact list (vCard file) stored on your SD card, then the contacts will automatically copy now. If you have more than one file, follow steps 9 and 10.
  9. Tap Import vCard file. Tap OK.
  10. Tap the desired vCard file where the contacts are stored. Tap OK.

Step 3. Prepare to scan your Samsung Galaxy Note

Before scan, the program needs to analyze your device first. What you need to do is clicking "Start" on the window. Then wait for the end of the Analysis.

The analysis takes you a few seconds. After that, the program begins to scan your device. Meanwhile, you need to click "Allow" on the screen of your device to enable the application - Superuser Request. Then click "Start" on the window below to begin scanning.

The scan will cost you a while. After it, you can preview all contacts found on your Samsung Galaxy. Choose "Contacts" on the left of the window. You can check all details of your contacts. Mark those you want and save them on your computer by clicking "Recover" at the lower right corner.
