iPhone X will be under the tree for Christmas as shipping times slashed
Published on December 2 2017
Good news for those hoping to put an iPhone X under the tree in time for Christmas: Apple has slashed the shipping estimate for the 64GB and 256GB variants of its flagship iPhone to just five days in the United States.
That’s a huge step down from the seven-week timeframe the firm announced when it started accepting reservations for the iPhone X back in October, but it’s still a way off having them on the shelves of its 269 nationwide brick-and-mortar stores.
The iPhone X was designed to show the mass consumer market that Apple hasn’t lost its touch when it comes to innovation – and that’s exactly what it’s done, so it’s hardly surprising it’s received as much attention as it has.
In the United Kingdom, however, the Cupertino company still has its shipping estimate for the iPhone X set at a little under two weeks, meaning those wanting to secure one in time for Christmas Day will need to act fast – or risk missing out.
If you don’t have the wherewithal to pick up the iPhone X, we’d recommend opting for the iPhone 8. It features the same specifications as the former, though it’s notably missing Face ID and a notch-clad edge-to-edge OLED display.
