How to recover deleted files on Windows 8

Published on July 13 2013

"I have had to delete everything on my Windows 8 laptop except for the OS data. I had never had this many problems with my laptop before I installed the Razer Red theme, so I thought that choosing the 'Reset my computer' option would delete everything, including the theme, but there would be an app to let me recover the files I wanted to. The problem is, I can't find anything to do that. Does anyone know what I could do to get everything back?"

When we deleted a file and it usually first go to the Recycle Bin. Once you find yourself accidentally deleted some files, it is easy to get them back if they are still in the Recyle bin. In fact, when you emptied the Recycle Bin, deleted files are not gone forever immediately and they're still at some place but the space that they occupied is marked as reusable, and they'll disappear completely once there is new data in. Therefore, make sure that you didn't write new data to the same partition where you deleted those files. Then you have a chance to recover them.

To recover lost files from Windows 8, you need to get a Windows 8 data recovery tool at first. Here, you can turn to EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. This Windows 8 recovery software is fully  compatible with Windows 8/7/Vista/XP and it enables you to recover lost data due to deletion, format or other reasons which can be seen as follows:

  • Recover deleted files/folders even after recycle bin has been emptied or use of Shift+Del key.
  • File recovery from Missing or Lost folders.
  • Recognize and preserve long file names when restoring files & folders.
  • Multi-Disk Drive Support - Performs FAT/NTFS, EXT2/EXT3 recovery on all IDE, EIDE, SCSI and SATA disk devices.

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
