Amazon will hire 120,000 temporary workers this holiday season

'Tis the season for temporary employment.
Amazon will be hiring more than 120,000 seasonal workers in the US this year, the company said Thursday. The jobs will span 27 states and cover customer service sites, sortation centers and fulfillment centers. That's about 20,000 more positions than last year.
The e-commerce giant kept many of its seasonal workers from 2015.
"Last year alone, more than 14,000 seasonal employees stayed on in regular, full-time positions after the holidays and we expect to increase that number this year," said Amazon's vice president of global customer fulfillment, Mike Roth, in a statement.
If working in a fulfillment center isn't quite your style, maybe by next year you'll land a job at an Amazon convenience store.
