However, there is a rather easy recovery way for those who haven't rooted their smartphone already. Just in case you are wondering what exactly this 'Root' is then in most cases this method would be applicable for you.

With the modifications in the Mass Storage Protocol post the Ice Cream Sandwich update it has now become difficult to recover files on Android, especially those located in the Internal storage. Despite that, there still a way out.

Keeping WhatsApp Messages Encrypted

Just this month, WhatsApp implemented its encryption update for protection against surveillance, making it technically impossible for anyone to read messages other than those involved in the conversation. For the more than 1 billion users of WhatsApp, it has definitely seemed to represent the beginning of a new era of strong encryption no longer regarded as a privilege for paranoids and geeks, but an effortless mainstream tool.

To keep your messages encrypted, you can enable fingerprint verification. In the case of WhatsApp, there is a bit of issue regarding authentication, and for encryption to guarantee that only the intended recipients can decrypt a message, they need to prove their identity. Like other end-to-end encrypted messaging tools, this app allows communicators to check each others’ key fingerprints, which are stored on the phone to prove a person’s identity. You see, it offers a security notifications feature that automatically remembers all of the fingerprints of your contacts and alerts you if there are changes to them.

Another solution is to disable cloud backups, as these are often not encrypted. Remember that Whatsapp and other instant messaging services will have all their end-to-end encryption stripped away when they are backed up to cloud servers. This means you have to disable these backups if you want to keep your messages encrypted.

How to Recover Deleted Messages in WhatsApp

Recover WhatsApp Deleted Messages: Yes it’s possible

Whether or not you have a sinister purpose behind wanting to recover deleted messages from your WhatsApp app, the fact that you’re here means you’re in a desperate situation.

Don’t worry. We’re here to help you out.

It could be a photo or a video of a priceless moment, or it could be something of utmost importance in a form a message — be it a text message or one from a messaging app. It’s probably safe to say that everyone and we mean everyonewho ever owned a handheld device — be it a mobile phone or a tablet — has had their fair share of mini-heart attack moments after accidentally deleting something so special.

Accidentally deleting a photo or a video is no longer as scary and as heart-stopping as it once was, thanks to the invention of the latest mobile operating systems — which now allows us the chance to give things a second thought by providing an option to recover deleted images and videos through an album solely dedicated to it, called the ‘Recently Deleted’ album/folder.

But the latter, accidentally deleting a message — now that’s a little complicated.

If you’ve accidentally deleted iMessages on your iPhone, or text messages on your Android, then it could be the end of the world for you.

If you’re an Android user, however, and the message you accidentally deleted was on your WhatsApp app — then there just might be a little more hope left for you.

Read on and we’ll tell you how to recover deleted messages in WhatsApp itself.

By the way, you will need a PC in order to get this to work out.

Data recovery tool

To recover deleted messages in WhatsApp, the first thing you might want to do is to download a data recovery tool for Android — if you don’t already have one. There are lots of good software products to choose from if you would simply do your research.

Not sure what to get? You can always read reviews about different tools of the same purpose. And then you download what you think is best.

Connect

After successfully downloading and installing the software of your choosing, you’re going to have to connect your phone to your PC. If, for some reason you are still being prompted by your recovery tool program to connect your phone to your PC even though it’s already connected, just disconnect and reconnect your phone’s USB cable to your PC.

USB Debugging

It’s important to note that the entire trick itself might not work at all if you don’t first enable USB debugging on your device. Failure to do so might cause your PC to fail to recognize your phone, and the entire thing will be pointless. It’s also important to make sure that you are using your own PC when doing this, as the process itself renders your device vulnerable to malware.

Once you’re sure you’ve enabled USB debugging, proceed with connecting the two devices and your PC should start checking your phone data.

Scanning

After successfully connecting your device to your PC, your data recovery tool program will ask for your permission to let it scan your phone for data. Allow it to scan your phone, and then select the box that represents the data you wish to recover.

Recovering the lost data

Once your PC has successfully scanned your device, you will be able to view all the deleted data on your device. This is where you’ll be given the chance to restore all the data that you would want to be restored, including the deleted WhatsApp messages you have been working so hard on getting.

This will also let your restore all other things missing, including photos, videos, documents, and other files worth keeping.

SD card is must use for any smartphone or digital camera. Instead of a lot of built-in memory in digital cameras and smartphone, the high quality of images and videos fill up the memory. Advancement in smartphones has made it the small office. You store documents, messages, pictures, videos, business memos, etc. in your smartphone.

A smartphone is not 100 percent efficient after all it is a machine. You cannot totally rely on it. There are several problems associated with your smartphones. One of the biggest problems is unintentionally deletion of data from the smartphone. If unluckily your SD card gets formatted due to your smartphone get hanged or malfunctioned or in other unfortunate circumstances, and it becomes distressing to lose your all data.

Some of them totally get into shocking stage because their important documents like passwords to bank accounts, business records, and other financial receipts get deleted. So, you don’t need to worry anymore, if you have accidentally deleted your data from SD follow up this post to read two ways you can recover deleted files from your SD card..

  1. Recover From Cloud:

If your smartphone was making a backup from time to time in the cloud then through this you can ultimately recover deleted files. For this, go to the service on which you were backing up your documents either Google Drive, iCloud or OneDrive to recover your formatted documents.

Recovery from backup only works if you have allowed your device to back up your files on the cloud from time to time. This method is not much efficient as many of the people don’t allow automatic backups. People are afraid of quick drainage of the battery, or their internet data package is too limited to auto sync the documents.

  1. Use Data Recovery Software:

Data recovery with software is much efficient as compared to backup option from a cloud. As, if your SD Card is of a digital camera, then there is no option for you to use any recovery from the cloud. For this, you need a data recovery software to recover deleted files. Similar would be the case for the smartphone if your auto backup data to the cloud was not enabled. People usually get upset about losing their valuable data. But, recovery software has eased this issue.

You need to download some good SD card recovery software to recover data. Follow each and every step by step guide to recover deleted files. Data recovery through software has 90 percent success rate.

Precautions to Take to Avoid Unintentional Deletion of Files:

  1. The most important thing you must do is to make a quick backup of pictures to your personal computer after any event.
  2. Business files usually contain less memory, so, backing up them on a cloud is the best option.
  3. Avoid use of unnecessary or pirated apps which cause your Android software to malfunction.
  4. Always keep more than necessary space on your SD card.

To sum up, the recovery rate of success from recovery software is more as compared to recovering from the cloud. You need to take necessary steps to avoid accidental deletion of files.
