As Consumer Electronic Show (CES) nears, more and more number of rumours and sneak peeks regarding the proposed Samsung smartphone, Galaxy S5 are doing the rounds.

The handset reportedly features a multi-party video conferencing service, which is not available in any of the smartphones till now.

This feature is more than a rumour, as it has been spotted under a filing at the Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service.

Samsung Galaxy S5: multi video conferencing feature may arrive

This multi-party video conferencing feature will enable users to hold a video-conference with a certain number of people at the same time. While this feature is widely speculated to be a standalone app in Galaxy S5, it could even arrive as an update to Samsung's proprietary ChatOn messaging service, which already features a one-way conference call, reports Sam Mobile.

However, not many details are known about this service as nothing has been made official as yet.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumour Round-Up

Design: From the recent revelation of the metal chassis, which is said to be the internal frame for Galaxy S5 smartphone, it can be speculated that Samsung finally is showing signs of metal usage, instead of plastic. However, the final product might be different.

Display: The Korean firm is rumoured to bring a 2K display for Samsung Galaxy S5, along with a 560ppi pixel display. This could also result in slicker animations and videos.

Camera: Samsung Galaxy S5 is aiming to arrive with 3 additional megapixels as compared to its previous version, galaxy S4's 13 megapixel. It has been also noted that the Samsung Galaxy S5's 16 megapixel camera could also feature LG's OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), technology which is currently sported by LG G2.

The firm has also announced a new CMOS camera sensor tipped as ISOCELL, which is almost certain to feature in S5.

Processor and OS: The Galaxy S5 is said to at least match Galaxy Note 3, if not beat it. The Phablet, already available in the market includes a 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 64-bit processors on the cards. Android 4.4 Kitkat OS is likely to arrive with the handset out of the box.

Memory: The S5 could feature a massive 4GB RAM taking advantage of the 64-bit chip, reports Techradar. However, if the specs stick to those of Galaxy Note 3, the handset would still feature a good 3GB RAM.

However, this revelation by No Where Else, a French website, has raised questions on the previous concept image of the handset seen online, which looked like the existing LG G-Flex.

Apple has started offering a completely unlocked GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) version of its flagship smartphone via the online Apple Store in the U.S., reports 9to5Mac. Although the completely unlocked iPhone 5S has already been available in many other countries, this is the first time that Apple has made it available in the United States.

Apple releases fully unlocked, SIM-free iPhone 5S in the U.S.

Unlike the unlocked version sold by T-Mobile US, the newly available unlocked GSM version of Apple’s iPhone 5S does not include a nano-SIM card. This means that buyers that want to activate their device in the U.S. will need to purchase a GSM-compatible nano-SIM card from either AT&T or T-Mobile. However, the device can also be used internationally by installing a nano-SIM card from a local GSM carrier.

This device offers advantages to iPhone 5S users that want to be able to use their devices on overseas GSM networks without a contract. In Europe and many other parts of the world, GSM is the only type of cellular service that is available. However, it should be noted that the GSM iPhone 5S will not work with CDMA-based carriers, including Sprint and Verizon

As noted by 9to5Mac, the unlocked iPhone 5S model offered by Apple is also different from AT&T’s GSM version of the device — the AT&T model must be manually unlocked, since it is still tethered to an AT&T contract. Although this is the first time that Apple has made the completely unlocked GSM version of the iPhone 5S available in the U.S., the unlocked GSM version of the iPhone 5C has been available since the devices were released in September. Apple said that the model number for the unlocked GSM iPhone 5C is A1532, and the unlocked GSM iPhone 5S is model number A1533.

According to Apple’s website, the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities of Apple’s unlocked GSM iPhone 5S are available for $649, $749, and $849, respectively. Apple’s GSM iPhone 5S is also available in all three standard iPhone 5S color options. However, unlike the carrier versions of the flagship iPhone, the completely unlocked GSM iPhone 5S is available to ship in one to two weeks instead of three to five days.

Robert W. Baird & Co analyst Colin Sebastian has said he expects shipments of 2.5 million to 3 million units for both the Xbox One and PS4 in the fourth quarter.

Both the PS4, priced at $399 in the United States, and the Xbox One, with a price tag of $499, offer improved graphics for realistic effects, processors that allow faster game play and a slew of exclusive video games.

Samsung Electronics Co said on Tuesday its Galaxy Gear has become the world's most popular smartwatch with sales reaching 800,000 since its debut two months ago, defying some market concerns the accessory would fail due to a lack of compelling features.

The South Korean firm said Gear sales have been better than its own expectations and it would expand sales promotions for the wearable device for the crucial year-end holiday sales.

Samsung has poured marketing resources into the Gear with heavy advertisements and collaborations with fashion shows to seize leadership in the wearable computer market after the device got off to a rocky start after being critically panned by reviewers.

Well-known tech reviewer David Pogue, who recently left the New York Times to start a new consumer-tech web site at Yahoo, described its design "inconsistent and frustrating" and recommended nobody buy it.

The product marks Samsung's latest attempt to prove that it is more than just a fast follower in innovation behind Apple Inc. The Cupertino California-based firm is widely speculated by media and analysts to be working on wearable device.

Priced at around $300, the Gear works as an accessory to its market leading Galaxy smartphone, with a small OLED screen offering basic functions like photos, hands-free calls and message notifications.

Market expectations on the device have been not so strong, as it has only around 70 dedicated applications.

UK retailer Phones4U offered the Gear for free to consumers buying the Galaxy Note3 on contract earlier this month, while earlier media reports said that the device was suffering some 30 percent of return rates in U.S. stores of Best Buy.

"It's the most sold wearable watch available in the market place...and we plan to expand its availability by expanding mobile devices that work with the Gear," Samsung said in a statement.

Everyone’s been caught up in iOS 7’s sweeping design changes, but what about those little tweaks that feel so sweet to discover, i.e., the ones that will make you look like an expert to your friends when you show them off? These less talked about iOS 7 features are the ones you just might want to talk about the next time you want your pals to think you’re in the know.

5 iOS 7 features you might not know about

1) Digital Level

I don’t know about you, but I don’t find myself in need of a compass very often. What I do need, quite often, is a level to help me hang a painting or mount a flat-screen TV. And luckily, Apple has added a digital level to iOS 7. Just open your Compass app, swipe left, and voilà!

2) Popular Near Me

The App Store has added a new tab to iOS 7: Popular Near Me. Admittedly, the name does sound a little weird, as though you’re going to run into the Uber app when you turn the next corner. But Popular Near Me is simply a way of using geolocation to highlight the apps that are popular in the region you happen to be in. For example, you might be out in the country and find that certain weather apps are popular in that area. Head back to the big city, and you may find that Foursquare is being used by lots of people in the neighborhood.

5 iOS 7 Features You Might Not Know About

3) Clock Icon

Holy heck! Did you realize that the clock icon in iOS 7 is an actual functional clock with a moving seconds hand? Now, if I could only remember how to tell analog time…

4) Text Timestamps

Do you ever find yourself obsessing over an old text conversation with a significant other—and then find yourself equally frustrated because you don’t know exactly when certain messages were sent? Well now, all iOS 7 texts are time-stamped. Just slide your texts to the left and all will be revealed.

5 iOS 7 Features You Might Not Know About

5) Block Calls

Speaking of texting with our loved ones, do you have an ex so crazy that he or she habitually obsesses over the text timestamps in your chat archives? Now, thanks to iOS 7, you can block their calls and texts! Go to Settings > Phone > Blocked, and start blocking those less desirable numbers.

So what are your favorite iOS 7 features?
